Flame of Love

In this week's Roundtable, RW tackles the important question concerning the upcoming Oscars. Instead of who deserves to win (cough...not Crash...cough), it's more like who really cares?
More importantly, with Brokeback Mountain becoming an unavoidable subject even for people who hate movies (does anyone hate movies or did I just invent a completely fictitious group of people?), RW questions the insistence by gay people to claim every possible famous American as one of their own.
Well, maybe not every famous American. I don't think anyone wants to claim Bill Pullman as their own. Isn't he just a walking cardboard sign anyway?
In other news, the editors of Blogcritics have chosen my review of Bravo's Project Jay as an Editor's Pick of the Week Feb. 22-28. Here's what they had to say:
TV Review - Project Jay by Don Baiocchi: I would read anything by Don. If he wants to try to rewrite the phone book, I'm so there! Don't read unless you're alone, otherwise you'll get stares as you giggle to yourself.
OK, so I'm shamelessly plugging myself. So what? It's my blog, I can do what I want. So there. And maybe, one of these days, I just might rewrite the phone book. God knows the K-M section needs a little work, and could the Johnsons-Jones listings be any more boring?
In the meantime, depending on your preference, you can grab a Brassy Blonde or swallow a Flame of Love (can you tell how far I have to stretch for a new Brokeback joke?) and head over to Chasing Vincenzo...

You are the blogcritic king, Donny. I'm so jealous. If I was chosen once, I'd be thrilled. Maybe I should actually contribute more....
But whoever wrote that little blurb on you is right. Your writing is so enjoyable to read. I love it. I'm so glad we virtually met.
TD
Aw, Trish, I'm a big fan of yours, too. I'm so glad we virtually met, too.
Why don't you submit your Glick Watch to Blogcritics?
Congrats on more blog critic recognition, Don!
Thanks, Mike.
