Happy Birthday To Me

Yes, dear readers, today is my birthday. Hooray! To celebrate, I have two gifts.

First, I was recently contacted by Northeast Public Radio to discuss what it's like behind the scenes at a book signing with "She Who Shall Not Be Named." I listened to some of their programs and found them to be fun, smart, and even slightly edgy. I was interviewed by Mary Darcy for their Weekly Rundown program. It was a lot of fun, so even though I hate hate hate the sound of my own voice, you can listen to the mp3 here (it's about 2/3 of the way through the broadcast).

Second, I went to Hawaii in October for a friend's wedding. I'm trying to make my Shutterfly account available publicly, but until then I'm posting a few of my favorite pics here.

I'm off to my festivities, so enjoy!

Happy Birthday! It seems we have that in common!

No, they're not digital. I used a Canon Rebel GII and then scanned them.

Andrea, I know, I should use flickr. I'm going to try that next. Thanks.

One4jc, Happy Birthday to you too! Maybe we have more in common. I like asparagus. Do you like asparagus?

Don -- Happy Birthday! You are having quite the year, meeting celebrities, stirring up controversy, appearing on radio shows. Sir, you are on FIRE. Nice!

Two things: 1) I love your photos (need I say, photography -- even our subjects -- is yet another thing we share; and 2) I think asparagus is scrumptious.

Par-TAY!

Happy B-D! Awesome photos!
And your voice was natural and fine. Her voice, instead, was very...performative.

Thanks, Trish! I kind of figured you were into photography too, based on your site.

Stacey, I am using Shutterfly. That's the problem. It's fine for individually emailing to friends but not great for public access.

Thanks, JJ! Yes, she's very animated, but I just figure that's part of the deal of being a radio host. She was actually really cool to me.
