Mozart: This Generation's Ben Affleck?

For this week's Roundtable, Stephen (or Mr. Funk, if you're nasty) poo-poos the commonly held theory that Mozart is, like, talented. This reminds me of the very first Roundtable back in the day, when RW knocked Anthony Hopkins down a few notches. That's right, we're the Roundtable, and we don't care what anyone else thinks! And it's not just because we're drunk!
Anyway, Stephen is causing quite a ruckus over there, so you may want to hold onto your gimlets...

Donny, I am rolling around here on my bed, laughing, scaring my cat, and almost knocking my laptop to the floor, because there's yet more proof: we share the same (BRILLIANT) (CLEVER) (WITTY) brain. I read your post linking to Stephen's rant just now, after posting my own, and we both used the word ruckus. Better put, we're both under 50 and using that word. You also made reference to Janet Jackson's 'Nasty,' which I did not long ago.
This is getting old, I know. But I'm sleepy and a little punchy and I just adore you for making the Ben Affleck reference (your half of the brain was working there better than mine). Plus, I think I'm a little traumatized from my visit to the Roundtable. It got rough. I saw a chair fly through the air. So the laughter at our brain helped calm the post-Mozart-bashing anxiety. Thanks.
Off to calm my cat. And ponder what the hell I'm going to choose as my RT topic....

Trish, glad I could help you scare innocent animals. And you also used "ruckus"? We're totally blog soul mates. And I use as many Janet Jackson references as possible.
Yes, this week's Roundtable is roudier than normal. Steve created quite a brou-ha-ha over there. Apparently people take their Mozart pretty seriously.
Wait, I have the Roundtable next week! I better get cracking, too.
Yeah, Stephen, you really started quite a bar brawl. Who knew Mozart could inspire such "Jerry Springer"-like behavior from otherwise normal people?
