Okay, Go: Scissor Sisters
Could I love them even more? Now they've chosen my favorite song from their second album, Ta-Dah, as their third single. Here's the video for "Kiss You Off," complete with snappy choreography, saran-wrap trenchcoats and amputated, dancing mannequins. Plus, Ana Matronic takes the lead on this one - what more convincing do you need? Granted, this song is best when blasted at top volume so you can lip-sync while dancing on your bed, but watching the video on a computer is a close second.
(P.S. Are you there, Maroon 5? Hi. It's me, Donny B. This is how you do disco and rock together. Not your lame new single, which manages to be both catchy and kind of crappy at the same time. I can appreciate you guys trying to branch out, but alas, I think you fell out of the tree altogether. Next time, just get Jake Shears and Babydaddy to write your stuff for you, since that's who you're ripping off anyway.)
Tell me what you think!
Also check out: Okay, Go: Mika.
And: Scissor Sisters: Filthy and Gorgeous.

They can do no wrong!
Word! "catchy and kind of crappy at the same time" completely describes Maroon5. If the lead singer wasn't such a babe, I would hate them.
And I am still shaking with Xitement from the Sisters concert weeks ago!
Sandy, I agree. They're pretty much flawless.
Dop, he really is. The thing is, I kind of liked them at first but then just got sick of them. "Sunday Morning" is really the only song of theirs I still like.
And how was the SS concert? I SO wish I had been there. I've only seen their concerts on DVD so I'd love to see them in person sometime.
Just came across your site through others and completely agree about Scissor Sisters. Their music is just like a huge in your face extravaganza, and honestly if I'm listening while walking, you just have to strut. My current fave though would be Filthy & Gorgeous!
Filthy & Gorgeous is one of their best songs ever. It's like the perfect anthem for them and for anyone going out to have fun. You have good taste!
